Job Description
Home Nation sells stick-built homes that use the ModPod (see it here at www.ModPod.com) as the core component of the build.
Our customers own land and need on-site project management help to build the homes with all materials provided by Home Nation. Customers are responsible to obtain a building permit as an owner-builder, but you will be their on site consultant and assist them with subcontractor selection and project coordination.
You will assist in permitting and managing the construction of the foundation and installation of the prefabricated sections with the ModPod that we supply.
You will be working directly with the buyers and the buyer's lender to develop a budget, obtain quotes and oversee their project. You would also oversee utility connections, and the construction of a septic or well if necessary. We do only what is necessary for a certificate of occupancy, we do not do garages, decks, landscaping etc unless required by the Building Department or Lender.
You will help build a network of subcontractors for each scope of work, and you will be responsible to update and add to this network as you locate other viable contractors, working with our in-house construction department. They will also provide ongoing support for you.
Full time CM’s manage between 25 - 25 builds per year.
For All Homes You Would
- Complete an initial site visit and follow up visits as necessary (These could be virtual)
- Develop specific budget allowances as part of the initial Feasibility Study.
- Obtain firm quotes prior to building.
- Guide customers through the permitting process and provide ongoing construction consulting.
- Oversee the subcontractors installing the home
- Review and approve bills with the customer and submit for payment
- Complete a final walk through and finalize all items on the punch out list.
Qualifications
The successful applicant will be a highly motivated and capable individual that is detail oriented with exceptional organizational and people skills. You must be able to keep track of all the details on multiple jobs simultaneously and be able to thrive in a fast paced, high pressure environment.
- Must be Self-motivated with the ability to work and solve problems independently.
- You must be able to type at least 20 wpm, must be very comfortable online and with email and associated technology and be familiar with the Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Google suite of programs.
- Strong experience in all aspects of residential construction is essential. 5 Years minimum.
- Must possess strong customer relationship and written skills and have a pleasant telephone manner.
- References are required, and details of the last 3 jobs completed.
Job Type
Full-time or Part-time, depending on the workload in your State. This is a work from home position.
Compensation
Compensation is based on productivity and customer satisfaction. However qualified, experienced and motivated candidates can earn up to $20,000 per job, and skilled managers can run as many as 20 projects every year. Payment is either as a 1099 subcontractor or a W2 employee, depending on job status (full time or part time).
